Why I.F.O.C.?
There are a number of ways to get Chaplaincy Training and credentials. I prefer I.F.O.C for the following reasons:
1.They have been Training Chaplains for over twenty-five years.
2. They train about 600 students per year.
3. The 40-hour class is intensive and taught by people who have lived through personal crisis situations themselves. Completion of the course gives you the confidence to minister.
4. I.F.O.C Credentials are recognized by most First Responding Agencies
5. I.F.O.C is non-denominational, and their Chaplains serve people of all faiths and no faith. I.F.O.C Chaplains are serving in Police Departments, Fire Departments, Emergency Management, Hospitals, Prisons, Airports, Sports Teams (including NASCAR), Communities, Schools, and more.
6. I.F.O.C has a Regional Corps where Chaplains can meet regularly to train, defuse, share experiences, and fellowship. (Here in Charlotte, we have the Metrolina Community Chaplain Corps with 94 Chaplains from an 80-mile radius of Uptown Charlotte). These meetings are open to anyone interested in Chaplaincy, so you are welcome to check us out. We meet at 3:00 PM the Third Sunday of every month currently at Crossroads Church, 220 George W Liles Pkwy NW, Concord, NC 28027
7. I.F.O.C is a member of the National Volunteers Assisting in Disaster along with such well-known agencies as Samaritan’s Purse, Red Cross, The Salvation Army, Billy Graham’s Rapid Response Teams, and many more.
8. I.F.O.C Chaplains are thoroughly background-checked, licensed, and insured.
